Meeting of Tourism Development Committee of BAG

On January 23, 2018, the Tourism Development Committee of BAG held a meeting. Giorgi Marr, CEO of “Silk Road Group – Real Estate” headed the meeting. BAG’s member companies, whose activity is directly linked to tourism, attended the meeting. 

One of the issues discussed at the committee was the legislative framework regulating air passenger transportation including air balloons and small-scale flying ships on the territory of Georgia.

Representatives of the Association member companies also talked about legislative and regulatory environment in tourism sector. It was noted that it is necessary to make substantial changes in the legislation, since the existing edition does not correspond to the current state of the sector.

As a result of the meeting, the problematic issues in the field were identified and the ways of their solution were discussed. The future steps of the Association's Tourism Development Committee have been planned.
