BAG Meeting with Business Ombudsman of Georgia

On February 27 of the current year, Business Association of Georgia organized a meeting of representatives of Association member companies with Georgian Business Ombudsman, Irakli Lekvinadze.

At the introductory meeting held at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, the sides discussed prospects for future cooperation and business-related key issues. The meeting was conducted in an interactive mode.

A number of important issues have been discussed in the course of the meeting, regarding which meetings with the Business Association member companies are planned to be held in working format. Importance of involvement of business ombudsman in various priority directions was emphasized during the meeting. Its role in discussing legislative initiatives with business representatives was also highlighted. The focus was on the importance of implementation of the Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) system, which is under development.

The business environment in the country was positively assessed by the representatives of the business association member companies.

The sides agreed on the active format of future cooperation.
