BAG Meeting with IMF Mission, Amcham and Big4 representatives

On September 7,2018 Business Association of Georgia held a meeting with the members of IMF Mission and the representatives of Amcham and Big4 audit companies.

The IMF Fiscal Affairs Department Revenue Administration and Tax Policy Technical assistance Mission was headed by Ms. Lucilla Mc Laughlin. The Chairman of the Tax-Customs Committee of BAG,  Managing Partner of BDO, Zurab Lalazashvili and Tax and Customs Manager of BAG, Shota Komladze attended the meeting.  The meeting discussed the existing tax system in the country and its improvement mechanisms, as well as the challenges in the private sector regarding the acting tax administration system.

Parties have positively evaluated the reforms implemented in the tax sector over the last few years, including the introduction od Estonian model of taxation of profits and  automatic system of value-added tax (VAT) returns.
