The members of the Business Association of Georgia had the opportunity to present Georgia as an interesting place for filmmaking and their own company as a potential local partner for filmmaking at the Platino Industria Forum, held in Madrid.

Within the framework of the project, Georgian companies held B2B meetings with representatives of the Latin American film industry, and a visit of Spanish companies to Georgia was planned in order to continue the cooperation.

It should be noted that during the visit to Spain, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Business Association of Georgia and the Spanish organization EGEDA. The memorandum was signed by the Executive Director of the Association, Levan Vepkhvadze and Carlos Anton, the Business Development Director of EGEDA, Member of the Board of Platino Industria.  The memorandum envisages the deepening of cooperation between the parties and the implementation of joint projects, as well as the establishment of communication between the member organizations and the sharing one’s own knowledge and experience.

EGEDA is an intellectual property rights management organization which represents and defends the interests of audiovisual producers in Spain, derived from the rights recognized and protected by the Intellectual Property Law. It is also a service company for the audiovisual producers it represents and for the audiovisual industry as a whole. It is an affiliated member of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), carrying out cultural activities linked to the dissemination and promotion of the audiovisual sector with special links to tourism.

We remind you that the Business Association of Georgia participated in the Platino Industria Forum in partnership with EGEDA. This partnership became possible within the framework of the EU-initiated project, EU4BUSINESS - Connecting Companies.
