On June 20, in Courtyard Marriott Hotel a conference “Georgian Economy, Business Environment, Achievements and Challenges” was held by an organization “Mokalake”, Business Association of Georgia and other partner organizations.

The session was attended by the members of the government, business sector and experts. The Former Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili participated in the conference.

Mr. Ivanishvili talked about the current economic situation and the reforms carried out in the country.

The top priority issue at the meeting was the investments role in the economic development and the projects implemented in this direction by the Georgian Co-Investment Fund.

As the former prime minister stated, any project that he is implementing together with the Co-Investment Fund is focused on the country's development.

At the meeting, businesses had an opportunity to obtain from the economic team of the government and evaluate detailed information about economic indicators. The private sector also raised the issues that still remain problematic on the way to improving the business environment, in particular - cancellation of  so-called police eviction procedure, "Consumer Protection Law" project, regulations  related to the agricultural lands,  certain weaknesses in the judicial system and other issues.
