Business Association of Georgia Hosted the Conference on Competition Law Issues

In the framework of the project of European Union “Supporting Georgian Competition Agency” Francois Souty, key expert on competition policy, met with the members of Business Association of Georgia and discussed the important issues in the field of competition law and politics.

During the meeting the detailed information of the project was presented which will be implemented over the next two years. The project is focused on improving enforcement of the competition law in Georgia, thus helping to create a favorable competition climate, facilitating engagement of business and sector regulators, and maximizing the benefits of trade.

Within the framework of the  meeting there was planned the joint cooperation plan with Business Association of Georgia, providing meetings, conferences and seminars on important issues such as competition law compliance with corporate policies, competition law as an instrument of market efficiency and possible legislative changes.

Business Association  of Georgia will continue to actively participate in the process of developing competition policy and improving competition law.
