The Meeting of Tax and Customs Committee was held in BAG

On March 13, Tax and Customs Committee's first meeting of 2017 was held in BAG’s office. Zurab Lalazashvili, the Managing Partner of BDO and the head of the Committee for Tax and Customs, headed the meeting.

The Session focused on discussing the problematic issues of member companies of BAG concerning the so called Estonian model of income tax and taxation of advances by VAT, as well as the report of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Action 15 of the BEPS Action Plan (Developing a Multilateral Instrument to Modify Bilateral Tax Treaties).

Within the framework of the committee there was also planned  the meeting of Business Association of Georgia with the Ministry of Finance of Georgia to discuss the above mentioned issues, as well as other problematic issues of tax law.
