Session of the Legislative Framework Development Committee

On March 23, a regular session of the Legislative Framework Development Committee of Business Association of Georgia was held, which was led by the Head of the Committee, Lasha Nodia.

Issues discussed during the committee meeting were: Problems existing in the Common Courts System (Delaying plea terms, illegal and obviously ill-judged decisions, inadequate mechanisms for responding to judges' misdemeanors and violations); The package of legislative amendments elaborated by the Supreme Court in order to alleviate workloads of the Court of First Instance through reducing the number of pending cases involving petty offences; Amendments to the Law on Insolvency; Information on current and planned legislative amendments, including amendments to the law on "Entrepreneurs"; Draft amendments to the labor code and initiative on granting additional powers to labor inspection (in terms of monitoring labor rights); Draft law on construction and spatial arrangement; Draft Law on Pharmaceutical Activity; Draft law on mediation; Draft amendments to the Law on Road Safety.
