The first joint project of the Business Association of Georgia and the International Foundation of Sport, Tourism and Youth will be "run for Ukraine"

Run for Ukraine, a charity competition that aims to help Ukrainian families affected by Russian aggression, will be hosted in Kakheti on June 5, the Business Association of Georgia and the International Foundation of Sport, Tourism and Youth revealed after signing a memorandum of cooperation today.

The organisers said the contest would be "the largest charity sporting event" held in support of Ukraine in Georgia, and the first joint project of the Association and the Foundation that will held as part of the memorandum.

The race will start on the Telavi-Kvareli Highway of the eastern region, with participants taking the start at a spot where the road leading to Lopota Lake from the highway originates.

A 10-kilometre stretch will be completed by those entering the run, while various other sports, entertainment events and an exhibition of handicrafts made by Ukrainian children will also be included in the programme for the charity.

Organisers said registration for the event would be open until June 4, with the run limited to 5,000 participants and having a ₾30 ($9.93/€9.39) entry fee. Money raised from the fees will be donated to the Ukrainian families affected by the war. Participants are able to buy tickets on biletebi.ge.
