THE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION OF GEORGIA HOSTING THE CHARITY DINNER

On June 5, at the Small Hall of the Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theatre, the BAG organized a charity dinner to support the families of those killed in 2008 Russia-Georgia war. The President of Georgia, government representatives, businessmen, Members of the US Congress, Hollywood stars (Andy Garcia, Sharon Stone, Richard Coyle, Dean Cain, Heather Graham etc) and Renny Harlin, the director of the film "5 Days of August" attended the dinner.

The world known Chef, owner of Michelin 3 stars, Alain Passard, specially invited for the occasion, hosted the guests at the charity dinner.

General sponsor of the charity dinner was the Bank of Georgia, Platinum sponsor - JSC "Azot" Rustavi, Golden sponsor - JSC Madneuli and Quartzite, and Silver sponsor - Silk Road Group and Silknet. Overall, the Georgian business representatives contributed GEL 1.5 million  as a charity for the evening and this amount will be fully spent for the families of those killed in 2008 Russia-Georgian war. The details on how and in what conditions to distribute the funds will be agreed already next week based on businessmen's consultations and become known to the public. Important to note, that it was first time for Georgia to hold similar scale charity dinner.

Once again the Business Association of Georgia would like to thank all persons taking part in the event and especially the businessmen who have contributed significant amount of money for the charity.
