The Business Association of Georgia hosting a Seminar on Initial Public Offering (IPO)

On June 30, the Business Association of Georgia organized a seminar at Sheraton Metekhi Palace Hotel led by the invited experts from JP Morgan, Deloitte and Freshfield. Subject of the seminar concerned initial public offering.
The representatives of interested companies had an opportunity to receive information from one of the most experienced experts in the relevant field and to have shared their experience.
The issues discussed at the seminar were: privatization opportunity through IPO; company policy in the initial public offering preparation ; general overview, the players and roles of London stock exchange; IPO regulation, tax and accounting issues in offerings made at international stock exchanges; the importance of corporate governance and risk management; peculiarities of privatizations undertaken through IPO; case studies of privatizations registered at London stock exchange made in CIS, Central and South European countries; operation after becoming a public company.
The Georgian businesses expressed greater interest in the seminar. BAG will continue to organize similar events for its members in the future.
