17 Jul '26
In the second quarter of 2026, the Business Association of Georgia conducted a special study among its member companies to examine the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on business processes. The findings reveal that the vast majority of Georgian businesses are actively interested in new technologies: 47% of companies are in the research or planning phase of AI adoption, while 13% have already fully integrated it into one or more business processes.

Surveyed companies most frequently use artificial intelligence for marketing and content creation. This is followed by equal shares in finance and risk management, and customer support services.

By sector, the use of artificial intelligence for marketing and content creation is most prevalent in trade (26%) and service (23%) sectors. For finance and risk management, AI is most commonly used by the construction sector (25%), while for customer support, it is most widely used by the service sector (26%).
Regarding AI solutions, 50% of surveyed companies use off-the-shelf global platforms, 26% use proprietary AI models trained on internal resources, and 24% use specialized software.

Surveyed companies also evaluated the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on their operations. For the majority of respondents, the primary positive outcome is saving time and accelerating processes (79%). According to 11% of respondents, AI adoption reduced human errors, while 5% assessed that it improved the quality of services and/or products.
Notably, the primary barrier to AI adoption in Georgia is named as a shortage of specialists (30%). This is followed by a lack of Georgian language support in technologies, and a lack or improper structure of data.

Despite these barriers, the future outlook is positive: 65% of companies plan to increase their AI investment budget over the next 1–2 years, 16% will maintain it at current levels, and only 18% do not plan to allocate a budget.
