BAG greets Prime-Minister's proposed tax reforms

BAG estimates amendments to the Tax Code prepared by the initiative of Prime-Minister like revolutionary and considers that the planned tax reforms will improve the country's attractiveness for business not only for local businesses, but also for foreign investors.
Implementation of “Estonian Model” of income tax and tax administration reforms are the most important issues, on which BAG with partner business associations had been working since 2013 year and was actively engaged in advocacy about these amendments with executive and legislative branches of Government, talked about the importance of reforms in the media, public officials and experts. Also, BAG will be actively involved in review and improvement of legislative acts relevant to the initiated reforms.
We think it is important that the radical reforms of the improvement of tax environment takes start with the direct effort and incentive of the new Prime Minister. That, in turn, gives us hope to get a number of tax and economic reforms;
We believe that the proposed reforms will be a solid foundation for the future development of Georgian state and economy and sustainable growth.
