The Business Association of Georgia has allocated financial support to assist the population affected by heavy snowfall in Western Georgia, specifically in the regions of Guria, Adjara, and Imereti. The allocated funds will be handed over to the Georgia Red Cross Society, which is actively conducting a resource mobilization campaign.
The Georgia Red Cross Society has begun raising funds to meet the primary needs of the affected population. At this stage, it is confirmed that more than 1,000 families affected by the heavy snowfall require urgent assistance.
The funds allocated by the Business Association of Georgia will be directed toward meeting the needs identified by the Red Cross Society, including providing the affected population with food and household items for personal use.
"The business community has a responsibility to help our fellow citizens who find themselves in difficult conditions. Our support will enable the Georgia Red Cross Society to deliver needed assistance to affected families in a timely manner and help alleviate the crisis. The villages of Guria, Adjara, and Imereti currently require special support and solidarity. Accordingly, we thank the Red Cross for managing and organizing this process, which is especially important in such a difficult situation," stated the Business Association of Georgia.
