An intensive one-day training on the Information Security Management System was held at the Business Association of Georgia (BAG). The event aimed to share key challenges and approved practices related to information security with representatives of the business sector, which have a decisive impact on the sustainability of companies' operational activities. The training, led by a leading expert, Nikoloz Giorgashvili, Information Security Manager of the Digital Governance Agency, was based on such recognized international standards as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 27005, and ISO 31000. During the day, the participants discussed the objectives of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), the information necessary for its implementation in practice, and the distribution of roles required for the successful execution of the process. Particular attention was paid to the risk management framework, starting from identification and assessment to their management.

Along with theoretical sessions, the agenda included practical exercises and discussions, which helped the participants adapt the acquired knowledge to real business processes. Within the framework of the training, the process of implementing control mechanisms and continuous improvement, as well as the specifics of the sectoral implementation of international standards for different types of organizations, were discussed in detail. "In the era of digital transformation, information security is no longer just a technical issue, it is an integral part of business continuity and institutional stability. Sharing such high-tech and strategic knowledge with member companies is a priority for the Business Association of Georgia. Holding this training, organized by the Business Association of Georgia, once again emphasizes our desire to contribute to the establishment of modern international standards and the sustainable development of business in Georgia," stated Levan Vepkhvadze, executive director of the Business Association of Georgia.
