Organized by the Business Association of Georgia (BAG), a one-day intensive training session on cyber hygiene and social engineering was held for representatives of member companies. This educational initiative aimed to address key challenges in the modern digital era, analyze crucial aspects, and share proven practices that directly impact the daily operations and sustainability of any company. The training program was based on the guidelines of the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27032 standard and established best practices in cyber hygiene and social engineering, helping participants perceive and understand complex cybersecurity mechanisms within international frameworks. The training included theoretical material as well as interactive components and practical exercises.

Speaking on the relevance of the topic, Levan Vepkhvadze, CEO of the Business Association of Georgia, emphasized the role of digital security in modern corporate governance. "In today's reality, cybersecurity is no longer just the responsibility of technical teams; it is one of the primary prerequisites for business sustainability and continuity. Social engineering methods are becoming increasingly sophisticated, which is why raising awareness among every single employee and adhering to basic cyber hygiene rules is of paramount importance to minimize risks caused by the human factor. The Business Association of Georgia will continue actively supporting similar initiatives in the future to help member companies maximize the protection of their operating environment and implement international standards" stated Levan Vepkhvadze.

The training was led by leading expert Nikoloz Giorgashvili, who possesses 18 years of continuous professional experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. He currently holds the position of Information Security Manager at the Digital Governance Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

Throughout the day, participants thoroughly analyzed the art of manipulation and modern methods of social engineering, and reviewed real-world video examples. Particular attention was paid to the early detection of social engineering attacks, insider threats, and effective countermeasures against them. To reinforce theoretical knowledge, special practical exercises/phishing tests were conducted, which will help company employees identify real threats in the future. The final part of the training was dedicated to incident response plans, preventive defense strategies, the development of organizational cyber culture, and an interactive Q&A session, where representatives of member companies received comprehensive answers to their relevant questions and summarized the material covered during the day.
