Applications Open for BARTA 2025

With the support of the Business Association of Georgia, the 2025 "Best Annual Report and Transparency Award" (BARTA) competition will take place. Along with BAG, the organizers of the competition are the National Bank of Georgia, the State Insurance Supervision Service of Georgia, the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision, the Accounting Reform Beneficiaries Foundation, and the World Bank.

With a six-year history, BARTA is an important component of Georgia's corporate sector. The purpose of the competition is to raise the quality of reporting and transparency among Georgian companies. Following steps taken toward implementing sustainability reporting, this award plays an even more crucial role.

The competition opens today, and application submissions will close on November 30, 2025.

Notably, this year’s BARTA competition is open to first-category companies and groups, as well as all Public Interest Entities (PIEs).

In February 2026, at the awards ceremony, winners across 10 prize categories will be solemnly revealed. Among them, as in the previous year, BARTA will award the "Best Newcomer." This nomination recognizes and awards a first-time participating company that demonstrates a high standard of reporting in its very first year.

As a reminder, BARTA was established in 2019 within the framework of a joint EU–World Bank Financial Inclusion and Accountability Project, following the European Union's corporate reporting reform initiative.

BARTA 2025 is supported by the World Bank's Enhancing Accounting, Audit and Sustainability Reporting Environment (EAASURE) regional program, implemented by the Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR).
