The quality of petroleum products sold in the country was the main topic of discussion today between the Oil, Petroleum Products and Natural Gas Committee of the BAG and the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

At the office of the BAG Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture Nino Tandilashvili and other representatives of the Ministry had the opportunity to meet with international and local laboratories involved in the field of quality control of petroleum products.

The conversation also touched on the importance of effectively enforcing recent legislative changes in terms of fuel quality compliance.

"Fuel quality is of great importance in terms of environmental impact, which, in turn, is directly related to the health of each citizen and the ecosystem of the country. It is welcome that a highly constructive format of cooperation has been established with the Ministry. Today's meeting was very fruitful for all parties involved. I am convinced that the direct dialogue between the representatives of the Ministry and the laboratories is the right way to establish future standards and principles, "said Shavleg Mishveladze, head of of Oil,Petrolium products and Natural Gas Committee of BAG.
