BAG holds information meetings for member companies regarding the package of changes in the labor legislation

Business Association of Georgia (BAG) holds information meetings for representatives of member companies regarding recent changes in labor legislation by the Parliament of Georgia.

Within the framework of the meetings, Lasha Nodia, Chairman  of the BAG Legislative Development Committee and Nick Nanuashvili, Legal Director of BAG informed the representatives of the member companies of BAG in detail about the changes reflected in the labor legislation.

Issues such as the new rules on discrimination, the creation of a normative framework for internships, stricter and more detailed regulation of working hours, as well as the enforcement mechanism, including the increased mandate of labor inspections, the rule of employer inspections and sanctions were discussed during the meeting.

"Regarding the package of changes reflected in the labor legislation, the Business Association of Georgia has worked quite fruitfully with both the legislative and the executive government. At this stage, it is important for our member companies to adapt to these changes and move harmoniously to the new legislation.

“To do this, we consider it important to hold information meetings with our member companies, which we carry out in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health due to the epidemiological situation,” said Levan Vepkhvadze, Executive Director of the BAG.

Information meetings on changes in the labor legislation of the Business Association of Georgia will be held in several stages until the end of this month.
