The Business Association of Georgia and State Procurement Agency of Georgia Agreeing on the Format of Cooperation
4 May '11
The Business Association and State Procurement Agency have agreed to set up a joint working group with the support of German Technical Cooperation (GIZ). The objective of the working group is to identify and review the difficulties and challenges occurring in the procurement process after putting the new, common electronic system in place and to solve these problems in consideration of common interests. The format of the working group will allow the State Procurement Agency on the one hand to improve the quality of communication with business (contracting authorities) and receive immediate information on the gaps existing in the procurement. And on the other hand business will have the opportunity to keep regular and immediate communication with the Procurement Agency if it needs to solve the problems occurring in the course of procurement. This kind of cooperation is already well applied by the BAG and is as much as possible focused on prompt and effective solution of problems.
The working group is open for cooperation for all interested companies and relevant business association operating in Georgia.
