The Business Association of Georgia (BAG) hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Georgia, Petra Ponevács-Pána. During the working meeting, the Executive Director of the Association Levan Vepkhvadze provided the guest with a detailed overview of the organization's main areas of activity and the significant role the association plays in shaping the country's business environment.
During the meeting the parties discussed at length the economic relations between the two countries, including export-import dynamics and prospects for further expanding trade ties. The conversation also touched upon one of the most pressing challenges for the business sector—the shortage of qualified personnel, which significantly hinders operations across various sectors. Special emphasis was placed on supporting the educational programs that the Hungarian government has been implementing for young Georgians over the years.
"Active dialogue with partner countries is important to us. The meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary was a good opportunity to discuss strategic issues such as trade facilitation and imbalances in the labor market. We believe that cooperation in this format will contribute to establishing new business ties and finding ways to resolve common challenges," stated Levan Vepkhvadze, Executive Director of the Business Association of Georgia.
At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to actively cooperate toward strengthening economic ties and sharing experience.
