Lukas Becomes the Official Representative of Baku Caviar in Georgia

3 Dec '25

The Business Association of Georgia congratulates its member company "Lukas" on officially bringing the prestigious and historic Azerbaijani caviar brand, Baku Caviar, to Georgia. Notably, "Lukas" will be recognized not only as the exclusive importer, but also as the official representative and a future local producer of the brand, which significantly expands economic opportunities for the country as well as the development of the premium segment.

Baku Caviar is globally known as the world’s first sustainable caviar producer. The company utilizes modern aquaculture technologies, strictly preserves sturgeon genetic purity, and responsibly manages the resources of the Caspian Sea. One of the brand's most distinctive approaches is its environmental responsibility: for every purchase of caviar, the company releases ten sturgeon fingerlings back into the Caspian Sea, thereby making a significant contribution to protecting the region's ecosystem and restoring the sturgeon population.

Azerbaijan, as the primary and historic cradle of Caspian Sea caviar, produces a unique, highest-quality product that has been recognized by global gourmets and luxury industry professionals for many decades.

'Lukas proudly announces that it will officially become the exclusive representative in Georgia for Baku Caviar, one of the world's most prestigious and highest-quality Azerbaijani caviar brands. This collaboration marks a significant milestone not only for our enterprise, but for the entire country,' stated Ketevan Gersamia, founder of Lukas.

'The Business Association of Georgia congratulates its member company ‘Lukas’ on these successful negotiations and project. The entry of premium-segment products into the country not only elevates standards of taste, but also continuously drives the local market toward innovation and high quality. The arrival of such international brands generates new investment flows, creates opportunities for local enterprises, and ultimately strengthens the country's economic ecosystem,' stated Soso Pkhakadze, President of the Business Association of Georgia.
