The Business Association of Georgia is negatively assessing the planned changes in the legislation in the field of medicine.
Amendments to the Law on Health Care, the Law on Drugs and Pharmaceutical Activities, and the Code of Administrative Offenses, although declaratively intended to facilitate administration and eliminate deficiencies in practice pose a number of problems, and the healthcare sector finds itself in an extremely difficult situation, as the powers of the controlling body increase inappropriately, the conditions for access to the pharmaceutical product market become more difficult, the role of the judiciary in controlling medical activities weakens and the amount of fines for certain violations increases dramatically.
