The Business Association of Georgia meeting the Newly Elected President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On July 25, the BAG members met with the newly elected President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Kakha Baindurashvili. The meeting aimed at discussing the already established partnership relations between the two organizations and the prospect of future cooperation. During the meeting the President of Commerce and Industry Chamber talked about the organization's future plans and noted that the Chamber is not a business group but rather a legal entity set up on the basis of the Law, whose objective is to support and encourage development of both the member and non-member business undertakings. Accordingly, the role of different business unions, including, certainly the Business Association of Georgia will definitely increase. While talking about the priorities of the Commerce and Industry Chamber, Mr. Kakha Baindurashvili added that primarily the Chamber's activity will focus on supporting the creation of new jobs and initiating relevant legislative changes to this end, by implementing innovative projects for business and economic growth encouragement.
Number of novelties have been planned to introduce new, electronic services, to conduct studies in different areas and distance learning and training courses. As stated by the BAG President Mr. George Chirakadze, deepening the relations with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry creates additional opportunities for the Association in order to make braver steps for the improvement of business in the country. More importantly, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a comfortable and desirable partner in the realization of these objectives.
