Draft Concept on the Private Pension System discussed within the Business Association

BAG's Finance Committee held another meeting on private pension system reformation on April 29. The concept of private pension system was discussed at the meeting. The author of the draft concept is expert Edgar Balbin, invited by USAID Economic Prosperity Initiative (EPI) Project. 
Companies representing the banking and insurance sectors, as well as the representatives of the National Bank of Georgia and EPI project attended the meeting. The draft concept suggests individual recommendations in compliance with the situation existing in Georgia, the economic indicators and development trends. It also gives overview on the effects to be followed after the implementation of the private pension system and on how the country can benefit from it.
