Meeting held on Unified Electronic System of State Procurement

German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ), State Procurement Agency and Business Association have organized the meeting on new electronic system of procurements on March 11, at German House.
Within the framework of this meeting, businessmen together with the leadership of the Agency, discussed the issues and suggestions that have arisen after implementation of the unified electronic system of state procurement and are related with the shortcomings of the system or prospects of its improvement. Representatives of the companies that are most actively involved in electronic tenders and thus have accumulated more experience during this time, were invited to the meeting. According to the Chairman of the Agency, Mr. Tato Urjumelashvili, works on sophistication of the system are underway and active involvement from the side of business is very important in this process, allowing for taking account of the comments and suggestions of system users from the outset.
The Business Association of Georgia and State Procurement Agency will set up a joint workgroup in the nearest future where all stakeholders will be allowed to take part. The working group will meet on regular basis with the main task to improve the quality of communication between the Agency and business.
