Business Association of Georgia Expanding its Scope

From September 2010 a new Agricultural Development Committee is being set up at the Business Association, to be headed by Giorgi Margvelashvili, Director General of our member company "Tbilvino".
The Committee's activity will be to promote development of agricultural sector in Georgia, support and encourage the ongoing reforms in this area, work on the improvement of regulatory legislative framework of this sector and implement specific projects in cooperation with international organizations. The Business Association of Georgia has already established the practice of successful cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and international donor organizations creating a fruitful basis for the Committee's work.

 

 
Within the framework of the Memorandum signed between BAG and National Intellectual Property Center - Sakpatent, the Working Group with the leadership of Irakli Kakabadze (Director General of Ltd Alta) has been set up at the Business Association.
In its work the WG will focus on the relations regarding intellectual property registration and protection. Persons interested in cooperation with Sakpatent will have access to information kept at Sakpatent, will be rendered consultations on filling in the application for trademarks and patent marks, and be allowed to attend thematic trainings etc.
