The GeoStat and BAG Joint Working Group Holding the Next Regular Meeting

Within the framework of cooperation with the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the working group members met the GeoStat CEO Mr. Zaza Childze and representatives of the association of relevant domain on May 6 at the Business Association.
The meeting, attended by the representatives of developers, wheat and bread producers, pharmacy, tourism, information and communication technologies, employers and banking associations, was facilitated by the Head of the Working Group Vano Baliashvili.
The meeting aimed at reviewing the package of services offered to the business by GeoStat and agreeing on future cooperation, as well as staffing of statistical forms optimization working subgroup.
GeoStat's leader provided the participants with the package of information which might be interesting for specific companies of different domains within the scope of their activity and heard the suggestions of the representatives of relevant associations.
According to Zaza Chelidze, GeoStat will draft a memorandum on cooperation with the associations of relevant domains to be based on the principle of counter productiveness. The following are its basic principles: business associations and businesses incorporated therein will assume the obligation to cooperate with GeoStat in terms of completing the forms and such associations and entities will be offered additional benefits and advantages by GeoStat, namely:
a) regularly provide free of charge the package of special statistical data useful for this specific domain.
b) conduct special studies with some discounts from standard prices;
c) ensure supply of certain type of statistical data few days before its public promulgation;
d) introduce a movement for revealing the best company (the most successful in cooperation with GeoStat) and the prize could be free of charge conduction of a study.
At the first stage, will provide supply of paid information free of charge and afterwards with discounts.
At the meeting it was decided that GeoStat leadership will conduct meetings with business associations of specific domains and their members to specify the information and problematic questions in consideration of specificities of relevant areas.
In addition, the meeting between GeoStat and business entities will be held for the purposes of simplification of statistical forms as well as review of the difficulties in completion of these forms.
