Meeting of the BAG members with the Deputy Minister of Finance

BAG representatives had the meeting with Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Irakli Siradze.

The event aimed at reviewing the outcomes of the cooperation and future plans.

Chairman of the Association's Committee for Tax and Customs, Zurab Lalazashvli and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Irakli Siradze briefly summarized the outcomes of the cooperation in the past period and stressed the issues that have been solved with joint efforts. In addition, as stated by Mr. Siradze, his organization will continue active cooperation and solve numberless important questions in consideration of the suggestions voiced by Association's members. He also underlined that the reforms in tax and customs areas continue and works for further simplification of return filing procedures are underway.

Chairman of the BAG Committee for Employment and Labour Relations Lasha Akhaladze provided the participants with the information on the Committee's work and added that pursuant to the Decree of the Prime Minister of Georgia in the relevant sector trilateral commission with the Healthcare Ministry has been set up. It includes the representatives from GoG, Employers' Association and Trade Union. The Commission is responsible to hear the conflicts occurring in the employment area and adopt joint decisions on different issues related to labour relations. The decisions of the Commission will further be submitted to GoG for the purposes of legislative amendments.
