Committee for Tax and Customs was established at the BAG

Based on the decision of the members of Supervisory Board of BAG the Committee for Tax and Customs was set up within the organization. The Committee will be closely cooperating with MoF and Mr. Zurab Lalazashvili, managing partner of BDO Georgia, BAG Member Company, was appointed as its Chairman.

The Committee was mainly staffed by General and Financial Directors of BAG member companies. Its key activity is to facilitate improvement of customs and taxation in the country and to play a mediator's role between competent governmental organizations and business sector. As announced by the President of BAG, Mr. Giorgi Chirakadze, Tax and Customs Committee will be one of the most important bodies within the BAG directly cooperating with MoF.
