Advisory Board of BAG

As decided by the Supervisory Board of BAG, Advisory Board has been set up within the institution with the leadership of Mr. Roy Southworth. Mr. Southworth has extensive experience in Banking as an Agricultural Economist.

He graduated from Washington State University with a BA Degree in Economics. From Stanford University he earned a PhD from the Food Research Institute. Mr. Roy was actively involved in different projects throughout Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Since 2001 he has been working on country operations and management of field offices in the Europe and Central Asia Region, as well as in Peace Corps in Ethiopia.

In addition Mr. Southworth has extensive experience in the implementation and development of investment operations in agriculture. At the end of October 2003 he was appointed as Country Manager for World Bank Office in Georgia and performed his duties there until May 2009.
