Irakli Kovzanadze: the significant reforms shall be undertaken in coordination with business sector

The Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze met with the Heads of the Business Association, Giorgi Chirakadze, Soso Pkhakadze, Lasha Papashvili, Vakhtang Butskhrikidze, Zurab Lalazashvili and Irakli Aslanishvili.

He discussed the reforming in pension and capital market sphere, the changes to the finance sector, to the laws on the National Bank and the Commercial Banks and other relevant issues.

“The meeting was quite interesting. We discussed the pension reform which is paramount and took years of development and is currently under consideration. We also spoke about the challenges the private sector encounters. The business association members emphasized the new credit regulations by the National Bank providing certain risks. We exchanged opinions and we pledged that the Parliament will ensure business involvement in Committee considerations and in elaboration of similar Bills”, - he noted.

“We agreed to hold such meetings on system-basis as in the Committee so in their sector to ensure uninterrupted connection with the economic pulse of the country”, - he added.
