At the beginning of 2020, the Business Association of Georgia established the Oil, Petroleum Products And Natural Gas Committee. The oil and gas sector is the most important area for the country in terms of budget revenues and jobs. Despite the stable dynamics of development over the years, this area of ​​business faces many challenges: Improving the legal framework, the introduction of European regulations, the existing reality in terms of ecology, quality and infrastructure - are only part of the legislative problems. The aim of the committee is to promote the establishment of a comprehensive legislative framework, maintaining the growing dynamics of gas and oil business, through active involvement in the ongoing processes in the field, sharing experiences of different countries and close communication with relevant state institutions.
